About the event

Join Mike B and team for this hang-out event.

Starting at Terra Nova Cafe main entrance in Roath Park Lake at 10am, this journey will take you from the Lake to Caerphilly Mountain and back again, taking in seven pub/restuarant stops along the way, including:

1.  Ty Mawr Pub, Lisvane (roughly 4 miles/90 minute walk).

2. Caerphilly Mountain Snack Bar (3.5 miles/90 minute walk)

3. Travellers Rest Pub, Thornhill (less than a mile/20 minute walk)

4.  The Old Cottage Pub, Lisvane (4 miles/90 minute walk)

5.  A final stop at either Black Griffin Pub or Three Arches Pub to watch Wales v Scotland in the Six Nations (or back to the lake for those who don't want to watch the game).

Obviously the time is estimated but we will ensure every one is back to watch the Rugby.

The walk will begin from 10am at Roath Park Lake.

In total, the walk is 14 miles (ish).  Bring a head torch for the end of the event.

Current forecast is drizzle so be prepared.

Cost:  £0 although you will have to buy your own food/drink.

Please note:  Stopping at the pubs is more of an opportunity to have a rest and refresh.  You can have a pint at each place, but there is no pressure to do so.   This event will be equally enjoyable for those who do not drink.

Important:  Hang-outs are an informal opportunity to hang-out with some great guys.  They are organised by individuals who just want to hang-out with some mates/meet some new ones on an informal basis.  They, and The Praus Movement, do not take any legal or other responsibility for the hang-out.  The expectation is that you are a responsible adult who can act accordingly e.g. much like you would hanging out with your mates.
